Disability Insurance

If you are considering adding a long-term or short-term disability insurance option to your employee benefits program, Kern Insurance can walk you through the options.

Should you offer Disability
Insurance to your employees?

Disability coverage is sometimes offered by the state governments, but it’s not always the case. Employers often add long-term and short-term disability insurance to their employee's benefits package to provide their employees with optional coverage in case of illness or injury.

This insurance would kick in if the employee could not work due to this illness and injury. It provides them with a portion of their salary while they recover.

Long-Term Disability
Insurance

If one of your employees has an illness or injury that takes an extended period of time to recover from, long-term disability insurance will help that employee receive part of their salary while they are recovering.

Short-Term Disability
Insurance

Most frequently, short-term disability insurance is used for recovery after childbirth or surgery. Having this insurance option will ensure your employees have the ability to receive part of their salary while they are recovering.
