Renters Insurance

Whether you are renting an apartment, condo, or a single-family house, you’ve put your heart and soul into your home. You’ll want to protect it.

What is Renters Insurance?

Unlike homeowners insurance, renters insurance is not required when you are renting a home.
This insurance is completely optional and often overlooked by renters in the United States.

Renters insurance financially protects renters (whether you are renting from a multi-family unit,
apartment complex, condo, or single-family home) from the loss in
the case of theft or damage in their rented property.

What does renters
insurance cover?

Renters insurance provides standard coverage for events like fire, water damage, theft, smoke damage, or injuries to visitors. For instance, if someone is visiting you and becomes injured, your insurance policy could pay for their medical bills.

Cover Your Belongings

In case of theft or damage, a renters insurance plan will cover many of your belongings including electronics, clothes and furniture. If you have jewelry you’d like to insure, you will most likely need to consider a separate policy.
